Mistral | Original Artwork
Mistral | Original Artwork
Description
The mistral is a strong, cold, and dry wind that blows through southern France, especially the Rhône Valley, and out into the Mediterranean. It typically comes from the north or northwest, sweeping down with great force, often after a period of rainy weather. The mistral is known for its clarity—when it blows, it drives away clouds and humidity, leaving behind bright, crisp skies. While sometimes harsh, it has long been considered both destructive and cleansing, shaping the landscapes, agriculture, and even the culture of the regions it touches.
This series explores the energy of growth and renewal through abstract botanicals that blur the line between nature and imagination. Each painting captures a fleeting moment of transformation, where color and form intertwine to create a sense of movement, vitality, and light. Together, they offer a radiant meditation on the resilience and beauty of the natural world.
